Ranbir Kapoor on his fatherhood: Raha’s smile breaks my heart

Ranbir Kapoor visited Kolkata to promote his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The film, directed by Luv Ranjan, features Shraddha Kapoor and will be released on March 8. On Sunday, Ranbir attended a press conference and had a friendly match with Sourav Ganguly at Eden Gardens. 

In the press conference, the actor talked about his parenthood journey. Talking about Raha, Ranbir said, “She has started smiling. And just to see that kind of smile just breaks your heart. I don’t feel like stepping out. Even this morning the 20 minutes I got with her before I flew rejuvenated me.”

Ranbir was asked if he was missing Raha, and he said, “A lot,” he replied promptly. “I have been checking out her photos,” he added. 

Ranbir also said that fatherhood is ‘a new understanding of love’. “I have just stepped into fatherhood. It feels like a blessing. It feels like a new understanding of love,” he said. 

Ranbir was initially scheduled to come on Saturday. However, it was postponed till Sunday as the entertainment journalists in Kolkata hosted a picnic. The actor started the press conference by asking about the picnic. “Bahut sune hai iss picnic ke bare mein,” he said. The journalists gifted him sweets and he, in return, presented packets of sweets to the journalists in a lovely gesture.
