Ranbir Kapoor will return to screen after a long time with a handful of exciting projects, which also include Sandeep Vanga Reddy's Animal. For each role, the actor had to tweak his appearance with the help of celebrity fitness trainer Shivoham aka Dheepesh Bhatt.
Kapoor recently spoke about the same with Mid-Day and emphasised on how his age has played a factor in making the transformation difficult. He also said that after Sanju, which required him to bulk up like Sanjay Dutt, this is the second time he's going through a similar regimen.
"I am doing a rom-com now, so the demand was to look lean, fit and not have a muscular body, have a lean face and toned body. Then we are doing our second film together, which is Animal. Of course, there is a younger version of the character where I will be the same, then version of the character which is muscular so we will take a couple of months to build muscles and I think that's going to be very challenging for me," said Kapoor.
Shivoham has previously worked with actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, among others.
Animal producer Bhushan Kumar had previously said that the film will see Kapoor with a "violent" side, which explains why he may have to look brawny. Besides the Vanga movie, Kapoor also has Brahmastra, Shamshera, and Luv Ranjan's untitled romantic comedy.
Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, who replaced Parineeti Chopra after she reportedly exited the project to work in Imtiaz Ali's film. Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol will be seen in pivotal roles as well.
