After a short gap, Ranbir Kapoor is putting his best step forward when it comes to his work. The actor was last seen in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, which became one of the highest grossing films of 2022. The actor is all set to grace the big screen yet again with his upcoming release, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Bollywood had witnessed a rocky phase, with a number of hyped releases failing to make a mark at the box office. Ranbir was recently asked about the same, and the actor had quite a savage reply.

According to a report in ETimes, the actor had recently attended a promotional event for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, where he was asked about his thoughts on the lull phase the industry was going through. The actor was quick to reply, asking the person if they had not seen the box office collection of Pathaan.

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer film, directed by Siddharth Anand, had gone on to become the highest grossing Hindi film of all time. The film, released on January 25, 2023, also featured Deepika Padukone and John Abraham as well.

Ranbir is currently keeping busy with the promotions of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. The film will see him share the screen with Shraddha Kapoor for the first ever time. Marking Luv Ranjan’s first directorial in almost four years, the film also features Boney Kapoor, Monica Chaudhary, Hasleen Kaur, Rajesh Jais and Ayesha Raza Mishra in pivotal roles as well. Boney will make his acting debut in the film, which is scheduled for release on March 8.

Ranbir will also be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming directorial Animal, which will hit the big screen on August 11. The film will see Ranbir share the screen with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri.
