Ranbir Kapoor earlier this week in an interview with NDTV, said that his uncle and veteran actor Randhir Kapoor is going through early stages of dementia. Now, Randhir Kapoor has opposed Ranbir’s claims

Talking to ETimes, the veteran actor did not confirm the claims and said, “ Not at all. I am perfectly fine."

When asked about what his nephew said, Randhir said, “Ranbir ki marzi (Ranbir's wish), he is entitled to say what he wants. I never said that. I am alright. In fact, I have just returned from Goa with Rahul Rawail. We were there at the Goa festival."

Ranbir Kapoor in an earlier interview claimed that his uncle is going through an early stage of dementia. The actor added that his uncle lauded his late father’s performance in his final film and asked him where he was.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, after fighting against leukemia. The legendary actor’s swansong, Sharmaji Namkeen, released on Amazon Prime Video on March 31, and has received positive response.

“Kapoor got into the skin of his character, and the role has been tailor-made for me. The actor gushes out the right emotions and also plays well in the sequences where he knows his cuteness will overpower him.” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay.

The movie, which is directed by Hitesh Bhatia, also stars Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha and Isha Talwar.
