After an intense sports drama Lakshya, Naga Shaurya was back to lover boy-mode with two of his recent releases - Krishna Vrinda Vihari and Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi. The actor, who’s yet to taste a full-fledged success after Oh Baby and Chalo, is gearing up for another film on July 7, Rangabali. Dasara, Virata Parvam makers Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Films are bankrolling the project.

Rangabali is a tale of two ‘Pawan’s - the film is directed by a debutant Pawan Basamsetti and has music by Ch Pawan, whose compositions for Love Story received a lot of love. Yukti Thareja, a Delhi-based model, who was also noticed in a handful of advertisements, is making her acting debut with Rangabali. The first single from the film Mana Oorilo Evadra Apedhi was out today.

Mana Oorilo Evadra Apedhi, sung by Anurag Kulkarni, raises a toast to Naga Shaurya’s native town in the film (in Andhra Pradesh), a place he’s reportedly unstoppable and is at ease. On a lighter note, the natives claim even the PM needs to take permission from him to arrive here. ‘Will any place provide the happiness of a hometown?’ the protagonist celebrates his roots unabashedly.

Shot in Ramoji Film City, the song’s strength is its catchy book and the effortlessness with which Naga Shaurya pulls off the massy avatar. He’s terrific with his moves while the lyrics are upbeat and instantly relatable. Anurag’s energetic, uplifting rendition provides the necessary vigour for the song. Jani (Master) has choreographed the number.
