Delhi-based model Yukti Thareja makes her acting debut with the entertainer directed by Pawan Basamsetti

Naga Shaurya, who has played lover boy roles to perfection in films like Oohalu Gusagusalade, Varudu Kavalenu, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, has taken the mass route for his upcoming action entertainer Rangabali. Yukti Thareja, a Delhi-based model, is foraying to Telugu cinema with the project directed by the first-time filmmaker Pawan Basamsetti. Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas, the makers of Dasara, is bankrolling the film.
The teaser of the film was released today. Naga Shaurya is introduced as an aimless, eccentric youngster who wastes time goofing around with friends, landing in petty troubles. I fall short of words whenever I try to elaborate about his hopelessness, his father complains. The 20s something boy falls in love with a doctor soon and hides his bravura, massy image from her.
The protagonist acts as an innocent, soft youngster in the presence of his girlfriend but wreaks havoc on the lives of the wrongdoers or whoever comes his way otherwise. While the makers keep the plot under wraps for a majority, Rangabali promises to be a simple, keep your brains aside- entertainer with all the ingredients of a bankable mainstream film with catchy music. The teaser ends with the characters worshipping the sight of a local bar from a bus.
The scene where Naga Shaurya gives a wrong table to an elderly woman in a medical shop ensures a few laughs. Satya (Akkala), a regular in Naga Shaurya films, Murali Sharma and Brahmaji play other crucial roles in Rangabali. The teaser ticks all the boxes right while it aims to gather crowds to theatres from July 7. With only a month left for its release, the promotional activity is expected to pick up steam from the coming week.
Love Story fame Ch Pawan has scored the music for the film and the first single - Mana Oorilo Evaru Apedhi - sung by Anurag Kulkarni released to encouraging responses. Divakar Mani, Vamsi Pachipulusu are the cinematographers for the film for which Karthika Srinivas is the editor.
