Rani Mukerji says she 'froze' during Tumhi Dekho Naa shoot - 'Ayan Mukerji had to carry me to...'

Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar recently recalled the shoot of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna's song Tumhi Dekho Naa. The actress featured in the romantic track with Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with Galatta Plus' roundtable, Rani reacted to Karan's concern for Alia Bhatt during Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani's song Tum Kya Mile's shoot. The actress revealed nobody asked her if she was feeling cold at the time of filming Tumhi Dekho Naa at -14 degrees.

In the interview, Rani Mukerji said she wore a red saree in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna track Tumhi Dekho Naa. "I actually froze. I couldn’t walk. And one of my cousins, who was also AD-ing him (Karan Johar), Ayan (Mukerji), he had to carry me to my car, because I had frozen… If you see the song, in the lip-sync, my lips are frozen. I’m trying to sing it, and it looks sensuous, but it’s not sensuous actually," recalled Rani.

Adding to what Rani said, Karan mentioned that he wanted artificial rain at -14 degrees for the shoot. The filmmaker revealed that there was a rain machine before it could reach the set, it would turn into ice. "We had a health and safety department saying, ‘You’ll kill them'," revealed KJo.

Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar's association

Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar have been friends for a few decades. The actress starred in Karan's first directorial Bollywood film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Later, Rani featured in several Karan Johar movies. She was also a part of Karan's family drama, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The actress recently also made a special appearance on KJo's chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. She marked her presence with cousin Kajol.

Interestingly, the actress' husband Aditya Chopra is best friends with the filmmaker. Aditya and Karan's friendship dates back to the time Johar wasn't even a part of the industry as a filmmaker or producer.
