Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani to also have Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor

The wait for Karan Johar’s next theatrical directorial after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been long but the filmmaker is making it’s well worth it. The cast of his upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which is led by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, keeps getting bigger and the latest to join the movie are Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.

While their characters in the big-budget romcom is kept under wraps, it’s reported by Pinkvilla that the trio will be making guest appearances in the film. A source from the team had told the online portal that the trio will be part of a “quirky dance number” and could also have a few sequences in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

The movie, which is set for a February 10, 2023 release, also has veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan as part of the cast. The shoot of the movie is expected to be over by October this year. Karan had also announced on his 50thbirthday recently that he is set to begin shooting for an action film in April 2023, right after he is done with the release of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani.

Incidentally, Sara Ali Khan’s brother Ibrahim is also assisting Karan in the upcoming movie, which marks the second collaboration between its lead stars after Gully Boy. Ranveer, who was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, also has Cirkus coming up. The Rohit Shetty directorial is currently set to hit theatres on December 23.

Meanwhile, Alia is gearing up for the release of Darlings, which is will drop directly on Netflix. She also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, set for release on September 9 this year. The actress is currently shooting for Heart of Stone, which has Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan as part of the cast.
