Today is a historic day for India as the country got its new Parliament building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament building in the morning. He unveiled the plaque and placed the Sengol inside the Parliament house.

On this auspicious occasion, several high-profile celebrities from the entertainment industry including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Anupam Kher congratulated the citizens of the country and hailed this landmark day.

Just a few moments ago, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh also commented on the development. Sharing a post on Twitter, he wrote, “The new parliament building is an architectural marvel and a symbol of progress #MyParliamentMyPride @narendramodi #NewParliamentBuilding #India” With this post, he also attached a bunch of photos of the new Parliament building.

Earlier in the day, Shah Rukh Khan also commented on the development. He wrote, “What a magnificent new home for the people who uphold our Constitution, represent every citizen of this great Nation, and protect the diversity of her one People @narendramodi ji. A new Parliament building for a New India but with the age-old dream of Glory for India. Jai Hind! #MyParliamentMyPride” The video attached in the post by the ace actor of Bollywood has a touch from his iconic movie ‘Swades’.

On this auspicious day, several dignitaries, politicians and religious heads from various spheres across the globe were present at the event. To make the day even more special, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched a ₹ 75 coin and a stamp to commemorate the inauguration of the building.
