Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer Baiju Bawra to go on floors likely in October

Bollywood superstars Ravneer Singh and Alia Bhatt are without a shadow of doubt, few of the most talented actors in the industry and because of the same reason every leading filmmaker wants to do a film with them. Both of them have kick started their shoot for veteran filmmaker Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. But from the looks of it, Alia and Ranveer will have a tight schedule to manage since they have so many projects lined up. They have to commence their shoot with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra as well.

It has been confirmed recently that it will be Ranveer who will be playing the titular role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra instead of Ranbir Kapoor. And the lead lady in the film will be Alia Bhatt. Besides these actors, director Bhansali is also tight packed with his schedules. He is currently working on Heeramandi, a Netflix web series and intends to commence shooting for Baiju Bawra in October. The film is currently underway at Film City in Goregaon.

Since the leading characters, Alia and Ranveer are currently working on Kjo’s Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani after their dates got affected because of the COVID-19 pandemic and second lockdown; the actors may have to juggle the two projects. According to a source close to the project, Mid-Day reported, “At this point, it appears that some parts of Rocky Aur Rani... may overlap with the Baiju Bawra shoot. The primary roadblock will be the look of the characters, as the two actors sport distinct looks in the films. The actors’ teams are ensuring that the duo finishes major chunks of Karan’s film before moving to Bhansali’s project.”
