Ranvir Shorey, who came back in news for his stint on Bigg Boss OTT 3, has for the first time in 25 years, spoken about his ugly break-up with Pooja Bhatt, which was also his most difficult phase in life. Ranvir blamed Mahesh Bhatt for printing false news to the press. He spoke on the matter once again during a recent interview and shunned the topic almost immediately.
Ranvir Shorey began by telling Siddharth Kannan that he felt Mahesh Bhatt would be manipulative because Shorey respected him. He recalled Bhatt assuring his father that the matter is among the kids and will be resolved among themselves, only to reveal it to the world the very next day.
"Next day, he proceeded to print utter lies about me, planted false stories in the media against me, painting me as an alcoholic abusive person. All lies!," the actor recalled.
When asked if there was an incident between him and Pooja, Ranvir claimed that Pooja's brother assaulted him. He feels that Mahesh Bhatt manipulated him because he could have put an end to the matter but did not. Eventually, Ranvir refused to comment further by stating, "These are all 25-year-old stories, I don’t want to get into them now." Back in the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house, Ranvir had called his relationship with Pooja the 'biggest scandal' of his life.
Ranvir Shorey and Pooja Bhatt were dating and went into a live-in relationship in the beginning of 2000s. Pooja had accused Ranvir of physical violence and claimed that as the reason for their break-up. Ranvir Shorey had then married Konkona Sen Sharma, while Pooja Bhatt tied the knot with Manish Makhija. Both the marriages fell apart by 2015.
