Rasha Thadani in the running for Kartik Aaryan’s Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, replacing Sreeleela?

Sreeleela, who has acted in films in Telugu and Kannada, has supposedly been a leading contender to round out the love triangle in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar since last year. She is currently shooting an untitled love story in Siliguri for her debut Hindi film, and the project will be her second collaboration with Aaryan. Meanwhile, insiders say that producers and director Mudassar Aziz are eager to cast Rasha Thadani in the comedy film.

Producers keen on Rasha Thadani for the role

As per reports in Mid Day, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 producers reportedly want a new onscreen couple. Since then, they've been thinking about Thadani, who made her acting debut in January with Azaad and gained fans with her single, Uyi Amma, despite the film's lacklustre performance at the box office.

In Basu's film, Sreeleela and Kartik are already collaborating. A new jodi, according to the Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 crew, will be the showstopper. In the end, Mudassar gets to decide. An insider says that when he does appearance tests, he will make a decision.

Script finalised and filming schedule

With Aaryan and Pednekar, Ananya Panday featured in Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019). The sequel is probably going to start filming after the main character wraps up Basu's love story.

According to an insider, the script for the sequel is finalised in 2024, and Kartik is eager to reprise his role as the small-town simpleton. After the actor gave his approval to the screenplay for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, the producers knew it was time to start filming. They have moved quickly to secure the actor's dates because they are aware of his busy schedule and the number of films he has upcoming. The insider earlier claimed that Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 will go on floors once Kartik finishes filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
