The new song from Rashmi Rocket is out. Titled Zidd, the track is picturised on the lead actor Taapsee Pannu. The video sees the actor as Rashmi kickstarting her career as an athlete. After impressing everyone with her speed and agility on the field, she begins her training to make it to the National team. During her training session, Rashmi realises that only running and winning the game is not enough, there are further technicalities too.

Along with Taapsee, the song also features Priyanshu Painyuli, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Puranjit Dasgupta aka RJ Mantra. Zidd is sung by Nikhita Gandhi, while the music is composed by Amit Trivedi and Kausar Munir has penned the lyrics.

The sports-based film narrates the inspiring story of a small-town girl, who overcomes all societal barriers to become a national-level athlete. But her glory is hindered when she is asked to undergo a gender test.

Earlier during an interaction, Taapsee had revealed that she didn't know about gender testing. The actor had said, "I like watching sports and follow it a lot too, but still, I had no idea about the gender testing issue that the film highlights. I had to Google it. I was completely shocked after I got to know the details about this particular issue."

Rashmi Rocket is directed by Akarsh Khurana while the story is by Nanda Periyasamy. Aniruddha Guha and Kanika Dhillon are the screenwriters while they wrote the dialogues with Lisha Bajaj and Akarsh.

Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya are the producers of the film. The ZEE5 original is set to stream on October 15, 2021.

Rashmi Rocket is the third OTT outing of Taapsee after Haseen Dillruba which is currently streaming on Netflix and Tamil film Anabelle Sethupathi on Disney+ Hotstar.
