Zindagi Tere Naam is another soulful track released by the makers of Rashmi Rocket today. Sung and composed by Amit Trivedi, the song is written by Kausar Munir.

The Taapsee Pannu-starrer is a sports drama that also stars Priyanshu Painyuli.

The video for Zindagi Tere Naam seems to chronicle the latter part of Rashmi’s (Pannu) life, where she is miserable after undergoing a gender test mandated by the sports association. Pannu sits alone in a house in the mountains. Meanwhile, Painyuli, who plays an army officer, tries to cheer her up.

Zindagi Tere Naam is another song that sees him encouraging Pannu’s character, and also being a coach to her. In the end, they get married, where the hero suits up for the event and the heroine looks elegant in a red saree.

Pannu shared the song on Instagram with a caption that loosely translates to if you lose strength, it affects me too.

Rashmi Rocket is a fictional tale of a small-town female athlete, who tackles multiple hurdles to emerge triumphant, and become a national level champion. The film also questions the archaic and controversial practice of gender testing female athletes.

The film is directed by Akarsh Khurana, and produced by RSVP and Mango People Media. Kanika Dhillon, Nanda Periyasamy and Aniruddha Guha have written the story.

The cast also includes Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak in key roles along with Shweta Tripathi, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Varun Badola, Namita Dubey and Manoj Joshi.

Rashmi Rocket is set to release on October 15 on ZEE5.
