Chef (Amazon Prime Video)

The Jon Favreau-starrer revolves around a chef who embarks on a journey on his food truck after losing his job. The light-hearted film also features Sofía Vergara, John Leguizamo, Scarlett Johansson, Bobby Cannavale in pivotal roles, with Robert Downey Jr in a cameo. The official Hindi remake of Chef features Saif Ali Khan, Padmapriya Janakiraman and Sobhita Dhulipala.

Always Be My Maybe (Netflix)

Always Be My Maybe is centred around celebrity chef Shasha Tran. Shasha’s plans for opening a big, fancy restaurant in New York takes a turn when she meets her childhood friend Marcus and is reintroduced to his mother’s recipe.

Burnt (YouTube)

The Bradley Cooper film revolves around an arrogant and self-centred chef who eventually loses his job. After coming to his senses, he once again tries to resurrect his career. While the movie didn’t do well at the box office, it featured some delicious and exquisite food such as lamb with beet aïoli, turbot with semi-dried tomatoes, basil yoghurt and basil purée.
