Written by Srikanth Vissa and directed by Sudheer Varma, the film stars Faria Abdullah, Megha Akash and Anu Emmanuel in key roles too
Ravi Teja, who’s savouring the high of consecutive successes, is set to entertain audiences on the big screen again with Ravanasura. The film, to release on April 7, will have him donning the lawyer’s suit for the first time in his career. Written by Srikanth Vissa and directed by Sudheer Varma, Ravanasura is an action thriller with a star-heavy lineup also comprising Sushanth, Sriram, Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash and Faria Abdullah.
Ahead of its theatrical release, the film’s trailer was unveiled yesterday. The trailer commences with a series of shootouts, action sequences and turns its focus towards the romantic endeavours of the star later. While Megha Akash and Anu Emmanuel play roles integral to his career, Faria Abdullah is cast as a lawyer who is adamant about not taking up a high-profile case but finally gives her nod.
Jayaram, who plays a cop, asks for a lookout notice and says Ravi Teja isn’t a criminal lawyer but a criminal who knows law. After a series of high-voltage chases and stunts, the star calls himself an artist for committing crimes without a proof and asks a character to ‘respect his art’. The trailer ends with a shootout at a public gathering, with Ravi Teja pointing his gun towards a character.
The slick action sequences and the superb background score are among the major highlights of Ravanasura’s trailer, the makers have smartly kept the film’s plot under wraps. Daksha Nagarkar, Poojitha Ponnada, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Nitin Mehta (Akhanda fame), Satya, Jaya Prakash essay other important roles in the thriller.
Vijay Kartik Kannan cranks the camera for the film which has music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroleo. Navin Nooli is the editor while DRK Kiran is the production designer. The film is produced by Abhishek Nama and Ravi Teja under Abhishek Pictures and RT Teamworks. Ravanasura locks horns with Kiran Abbavaram’s Meter on April 7.
