Ravanasura’s first glimpse is here, a stylish Ravi Teja unleashes the demon in him

Ravi Teja is in the form of his life with consecutive hits Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya. And to make best use of his great momentum, he’ll have another release in a couple of months, the much-anticipated action thriller Ravanasura. The film is special for the star, given it’s the first time he has donned the lawyer’s suit in his career. Written by Srikanth Vissa, the film is directed by Sudheer Varma.

Ravanasura, which took off in early 2022, is jointly produced by Ravi Teja’s home banner RT Teamworks and Abhishek Nama’s Abhishek Pictures. While Sushanth essays a key role in the film, the thriller has as many as five female leads including Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar and Pujita Ponnada. A special glimpse of the film was launched this Republic Day, commemorating Ravi Teja’s birthday.

The glimpse introduces Ravi Teja in two looks - as a lawyer and in another casual avatar donning a colourful tee. He smokes a cigar on both occasions and the makers hint at a series of women being killed by a mysterious man. The slick video is all that Ravi Teja fans need on the star’s birthday, that promises to showcase a different dimension in him as an actor.

Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Nitin Mehta (Akhanda fame), Satya, Jaya Prakash too play important roles in Ravanasura. The film is all set to hit screens across the globe on April 7, an early summer release. Harshavardhan Rameshwar, Bheems Ceciroleo score the music for Ravanasura, which has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and is edited by Srikanth.

Another Ravi Teja project that’s being filmed now is the pan-Indain release, Tiger Nageswara Rao, a biopic on the notorious thief based in Stuartpuram, directed by Vamsee, which also stars Gayatri Bhardwaj, Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai and Anupam Kher. Dhamaka, his superhit, premiered on Netflix the previous weekend.
