Aranyak and KGF 2 actress Raveena Tandon is all set to feature in the upcoming web show, Karmma Calling. Premiering on Disney+Hotstar, this series sees her in the role of 90s Bollywood queen Indrani Kothari. At the trailer launch, the actress spoke about the difficulties she faced while portraying the character. She also spilled the secret on staying relevant as an actress even in today’s times.

Raveena recalled how the character is different from her in real life and thus, she would wonder if their thoughts clash and if she is bringing how Raveena would react in the situation to how Indrani reacts to that. “Thus, I had to step back often,” she said.

The actress further spoke about how she has tried her hand at different roles over the years. “As they say, when you seek something, it seeks you too. People saw me in a different light even with Aranyak and KGF 2. This character is something I have not played either in a film or on OTT. So, this was definitely challenging for me,” the actress said at the recently held event.

She further explained that she just wanted to play her role sincerely. Raveena said that luck is important but also added, “Since the 90s, I have seen that honesty, sincerity and hardwork makes an actor who he/she is.” She promised that people will be confused seeing her character unfold with every episode and season. The actress feels that the viewers would be wondering whether Indrani is a good or evil person. “If you can understand what we wish to convey, that means our performance was honest,” she said, concluding the discussion with, “We’ll talk about it more once the show is out.”
