Raveena Tandon reviews The Archies.
National Film Award-winning actress Raveena Tandon, 51, issued an apology this evening after she accidentally liked a social media post trolling Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor and the team of The Archies. The post criticized the acting skills of lead actors in the film.
Raveena Tandon writes an apology
In a text message dropped on microblogging site X today, Raveena Tandon wrote, “Touch buttons and social media. A genuine mistake has been blown out of proportion. The like was made in error, and something that I was not even aware of that had been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hurt this may have caused.”
Soon after Raveena issued an apology, many X users felt that she felt insecure about her daughter Rasha’s career. Rasha, for the unfamiliar, has often been papped partying with high-profile Bollywood star kids. Rasha is currently 18 years old.
What was the defamatory post about?
A post surfaced online on Reddit this morning which criticized the acting skills of The Archies’ lead actors. Lakhs of internet users have liked this post.
Observably, over the past few days, many internet users have complained (including on the Reddit post’s comments section) about how star kids glide into the film industry with ease as compared to those born outside the industry.
The Archies is a classic example of this case. Suhana Khan (daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan), Agastya Nanda (grandson of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan) and Khushi Kapoor (daughter of producer Boney Kapoor) have made their debut in the film industry under this big banner film. The film has received mixed reviews. While some of them liked the acting skills of the new entrants in Bollywood, others felt that The Archies is all about fashion sans storyline.
If you wish to watch The Archies, you can watch it anytime on Netflix.
