Ravi Teja was going through a series of flops when he announced his new film Dhamaka. Industry critics and insiders trolled him for selecting one more routine mass drama with a young director named Trinadh Rao. But Ravi Teja was so confident that he promoted the film on an aggressive note and the result is there for us all to see as Dhamaka is still minting big money at the box office.

The action drama has now grossed 100 crores at the box office and has become the biggest hit in Ravi Teja's career. Things started on a slow note as most of the critics panned the film for its mediocre narration and routine story. But the super hit music composed by Bheems ensured solid openings for Dhamaka. Within no time, positive word of mouth grew and the film started to attract the audience in big numbers.

The masses loved the film and one of the reasons for this was that director Trinadh Rao showcased Ravi Teja in a very entertaining manner after a long gap. Young heroine, Sreeleela was also one of the main reasons as she was supremely popular with the youth. Ravi Teja in a double role, his chemistry with Sreeleela, and the superb comedy have made this film a big hit. Also, the lack of competition from other films ensured this film a free run at the box office.

In the days to come as well, there are no other biggies lined up until the 11th of this month and this will ensure Dhamaka gets good occupancy at the big screens. What's special about the film is that it has collected half a million in the US which is rare for a Ravi Teja film. With Dhamaka, Ravi Teja has made a solid comeback and silenced his critics in a big way.
