2021 may be barely over, but Telugu cinema is already setting the tone for a grand 2022 with a slew of release date announcements. The latest addition to the list is actor Ravi Teja's action entertainer Khiladi, which will hit theatres on February 11, 2022. The film directed by Ramesh Varma Penmatsa (of Rakshasudu fame) features Ravi Teja in a double role where Dimple Hayathi, Meenakshi Chaudhary play the romantic interests of both the characters. Khiladi is produced by Koneru Satyanarayana under A Studios in collaboration with Pen Studios and has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

"See you in cinemas. #Khiladi. February 11th, 2022," actor Ravi Teja posted across his social media handles, confirming the news. The release poster has Ravi Teja wearing stylish black shades and smoking a cigar, with a tag line to the title that reads 'Play Smart'. Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar have bagged the satellite and post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. Two singles from Khiladi have already released, including a melody Istam (sung by Hari Priya) and the pacy title track (which has vocals by Ram Miriyala).

Sujith Vaasudev and GK Vishnu have cinematographed for the masala outing for which Ramesh Varma has written the story and the screenplay as well.Srikanth Vissa and Sagar are the dialogue writers, with Amar Reddy handling the edits. Gandhi Nadikudikar is the art director of the same. Ram-Lakshman, Anbu-Arivu have choreographed the stunts, while Dr Jayantialal Gada is the presenter of Khiladi. Khiladi's release on February 11,2022 will clash with Adivi Sesh's magnum opus, the biopic of army Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major.
