We have some exciting news about Telugu star Ram Charan’s upcoming movie RC 16. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, was finally launched earlier on March 20 with a grand pooja ceremony. The event was attended by the lead actors – Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor along with other big stars including Boney Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Shankar Shanmugam, Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, Sukumar, Venkata Satish Kilaru and Allu Aravind.
Although the makers have been tight-lipped about any vital information surrounding the film, the latest buzz suggests that a popular Malayalam actor is going to be playing a pivotal role in the movie. According to the latest reports, Malayalam actor Antony Varghese Pepe of RDX-fame is rumoured to be a part of the film. Although an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited, this latest rumour has sparked frenzy among netizens who cannot wait to see the Angamaly Diaries actor make his Tollywood debut soon!
For the unversed, Antony Varghese made his debut in 2017 with Lijo Jose Pellissery’s directorial Angamaly Diaries. He won critical acclaim for the movie and went on to star in some of the best films of recent times, including Jallikattu, which was India's official entry to the Oscars in 2021.
Other exciting appearances in RC 16
Apart from Antony Varghese, it was reported earlier that Bobby Deol and Shivarajkumar are playing pivotal roles in the film. Touted to be a pan-Indian project, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers, with Venkata Satish Kilaru bankrolling it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The music for RC 16 will be scored by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman.
What is the speculated title of RC 16 called?
A sports drama set in a village, RC 16 will see Ram Charan in a rustic avatar. As the movie gets ready to roll, several updates are surfacing about it. According to earlier reports, the title of the film is Peddi. However, an official announcement about the same is awaited.

Apart from Buchi Babu Sana’s sports drama, the RRR actor also has S Shankar directorial Game Changer which is awaiting release. The film, which is touted to be a political thriller, will have Ram Chara reportedly playing dual roles of father and son.
