Reacher Season 2 OTT release date: When, where to watch the veteran jump back in action

If the first season of Reacher saw Jack Reacher adjust to civilian life, prove his innocence in a murder case and also solve a huge conspiracy involving politicians, businessmen and all forms of evil, Season 2 is set to take the stakes even higher. 

Reacher Season 2, an Amazon Prime Video original, now has a release date which the streamer announced via the maiden trailer for the new season. 

Led by Alan Ritchson, who plays the titular role, the second season of Jack Reacher will debut on Prime Video on December 15 with the first three episodes scheduled to drop on the said date. The remaining episodes will drop weekly every Friday after that with the final episode slated to premiere on January 19, 2024.

For Indian audiences, Prime Video is releasing Reacher Season 2 with a wide choice of dubbed versions including the English original, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. 

What's the story of Reacher Season 2?

The official description for Season 2, as per reports, reveals that veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher is summoned for another massive operation when he receives a coded message that the members of his former army unit are being brutally killed one after the other. As the trailer reveals, he must spearhead the mission to get to the bottom of this gripping mystery and for this, he is also required to reunite with former teammates Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan) and David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos). Ferdinand Kingsley, Robert Patrick and Domenick Lombardozzi, too, are part of the cast.

While the first season was based on Lee Child's debut novel Killing Floor, Reacher Season 2 will be based on the eleventh book of the series, 'Bad Luck and Trouble'. Previously, the film adaptations of Child's novels saw Tom Cruise take on the Jack Reacher character in two films, namely Jack Reacher (2012) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016).
