Alan Ritchson has big shoes to fill, taking on the portrayal of the popular Jack Reacher character after Tom Cruise immortalised the same in film. But if the trailer of Amazon’s upcoming series Reacher is anything to go by, Ritchson certainly seems to give it his all.

In the almost two minute long trailer, viewers are introduced to Jack Reacher, a former US military major who decides to move into a small time for some peace and quiet. But fate has different things in store for him, as his reverie is interrupted when he is arrested on suspicion of a series of murders that stated happeing since he moved into the town.

In a turn of events, the authorities reach out to him for help in solving the crimes and benefit immensely from the unique perspective he offers as a result of his extensive military training. The clip also gives glimpses of Reacher in action, beating up thugs and looking good doing it. The trailer suggests an action packed, intriguing show which does not lack in witticisms.

Nick Santora, popular for his work on Prison Break, is the showrunner as well as writer and executive producer.

Reacher will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 4, 2022.
