From the volatile valley arises a tale of inspiration that is quite unlike anything most of us have seen. Two men, from different social backgrounds, are united by a common dream as they join hands to bring up the first pro football club in Kashmir. Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub and Manav Kaul lead this series from the front. Based on a real-life tale, the Hindi series deserves to be on your weekend watchlist.
Tamil: Aaromaley
Ajith believes in filmy romance, but is unable to find his soulmate. But as luck would have it, he ends up working in a matrimonial agency with a boss, Anjali, who has quite a different outlook on love. Kishen Das and Shivathmika Rajashekar lead this Tamil film, which blends in romance and comedy. Sarang Thiagu is the director and writer of the movie.
Telugu: 3 Roses Season 2
Three women, who are also friends, are at the centre of this series. After a happening first season set in Hyderabad, the second season arrives but in Mumbai. The women chase their dreams in the city that never sleeps, but things take a turn with the arrival of a gangster. Actress Eesha Rebba is once again back to lead the series.
Malayalam: Andhakara
A differently abled cab driver, Aravind is at the centre of this suspenseful thriller. His life takes a dangerous turn after he comes across Dr Fida, a customer, and tiers to assist only to be pulled into a sinister web of crimes. Vasudev Sanal helms Andhakara which features Divya Pillai, and Chandhunath G Nair.
Kannada: Green
Raaj Vijay directs this Kannada psychological thriller, which stars Gopal Krishna Deshpande in the lead role. The film takes a close and intense look at the workings of the human psyche through the tale of Mayanna who is battling paranoid schizophrenia. Balaji Manohar, Dimpy Fadhya, and RJ Vikki are also part of the cast. Green promises a gripping yet unsettling watch.
