Rekha is in a live-in relationship with her manager Farzana? Author Yasser Usman clarifies

Rekha, the legendary actress of Bollywood, has always been a mystery to the public. Her personal life has been a source of curiosity and speculation for many years.

Recently, some media reports claimed that Rekha and her manager Farzana are not just friends or colleagues, but are in a live-in relationship. The reports cited Rekha's biography, Rekha: The Untold Story, written by Yasser Usman, as the basis for their claims. They also quoted some excerpts from the book that allegedly suggested that Rekha and Farzana have a sexual relationship and that Farzana controls every aspect of Rekha's life.

However, the author of the book has come forward to refute these claims and to clear the air about Rekha and Farzana's relationship. Yasser Usman took to Twitter to issue a statement, in which he called the reports "a complete fabrication, falsification and misrepresentation evidently intended to create sensationalism".

He said that the quotes attributed to his book are entirely absent from his book and that he never used the phrases "live-in relationship" or "hermetic existence" or "the biography claiming the relationship is sexual" in his entire manuscript. He also said that these incorrect quotes are a result of poor clickbait journalism and keep on resurfacing every few years.

He further said that if these quotes are not immediately rectified, he will not hesitate to pursue legal action against the publications responsible. He also expressed his displeasure over how clickbait journalism targets women and has an aversion towards verifying facts.

Yasser Usman's book, Rekha: The Untold Story, was published in 2016 and is based on interviews, articles, anecdotes and insights into Rekha's life and career. The book does mention Rekha and Farzana's close bond and friendship, but does not make any claims about their sexual orientation or living arrangement.

Rekha and Farzana have been living together in Rekha's bungalow in Bandra for over a decade. They met when Farzana was working as a junior artiste in the film industry and impressed Rekha with her dedication and loyalty. Farzana became Rekha's manager and confidante and has been by her side ever since.

Rekha is one of the most respected and admired actresses of Indian cinema. She has acted in over 120 films in various languages and genres. She has won several awards and accolades for her performances, including three Filmfare Awards and a Padma Shri. She is also a member of the Rajya Sabha.
