Dhurandhar (2025), starring Ranveer Singh and helmed by Aditya Dhar, emerged as a colossal blockbuster, breaking numerous box office records. The action-thriller, released in December 2025, reportedly amassed over Rs. 1,300 crore worldwide, with more than Rs. 800 crore net in India. Now, the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is all set to hit cinemas on March 19, 2026, but ahead of it, Dhurandhar re-releases in theatres.
As anticipation builds for Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the makers are bringing back the December 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar to cinemas starting today (March 12). The film will play on roughly 500 screens worldwide, with Indian screenings from March 12 and international ones from March 13.
In case anyone has missed watching Dhurandhar in theatres, now is their time to relive one of India’s biggest blockbusters, just days before its sequel hits theatres. The re-release lets audiences experience the saga in full, enjoying both chapters back-to-back on the big screen.
While India has seen occasional re-releases of beloved films, the return of a Hindi blockbuster worldwide is unusual. In North America alone, the film will be showing in around 185 theaters, making the excitement and anticipation for the next installment even more palpable.
Dhurandhar (2025) is a pulse-pounding spy thriller that centres on an undercover RAW agent, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates a ruthless gang in Karachi, Pakistan, led by Akshaye Khanna’s Rehman Dakait, to take down terror networks from within. Hamza becomes a trusted aide to Rehman while trying to navigate the complex, violent underworld, often relying on his handler, Mohammad Aalam (Gaurav Gera).
The story involves political manipulation by Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi) and SP Chaudhary Aslam (Sanjay Dutt), complicating Hamza's mission. Later, the story centres on taking down Rehman Dakait’s gang, played by Akshaye Khanna, culminating in his death at the hands of Hamza and cop Chaudhary Aslam in the film’s dramatic finale.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge picks up where the 2025 blockbuster left off, following RAW agent Hamza Ali Mazari (Ranveer Singh) as he navigates Karachi’s deadly underworld after the death of Rehman Dakait. He faces ISI officer Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal) and threats from rival gangs.
