The well-known choreographer and filmmaker Remo D'Souza is currently busy with his brand-new dance reality show on Amazon miniTV. The first hip-hop dance reality show in India titled, Hip Hop India, and it will feature some of the best and most dedicated dancers from all over the nation.

The renowned choreographer recently opened up in an exclusive interview with OTTplay about the challenges he had while deciding to pursue dance as a career. He also discussed how it makes him feel when others choose not to pursue dance as a profession. Remo said, "With me it happened a lot because when I started also it was the same thing and being a Air Force kid, this was even harder. Still there are such people but I’ve seen the change, I have seen parents coming to me, getting their child and saying mujhe isko dancer banana hai." 

Recalling one of the incidents where he felt good, Remo said, "There’s this one incident which I can’t forget, I went to this ramp show of kids as a chief guest, and before they introduced themselves, the announcer comes and talks about their hobbies and then 5 kids walk the ramp who say they want to become a dancer or choreographer and their parents are supporting them.”

Meanwhile, Hip Hop India will have Remo D'Souza and Nora Fatehi the judges and mentors. Remo has previously served as a judge on well-known dance competitions including Dance India Dance and Dance Plus. In addition, a secret judge, whose identity will be made public later, will make the ultimate decision over who will be named India's next major hip-hop sensation.

Hip Hop India will have a unique and thrilling format that will test the competitors' abilities and inventiveness in a variety of rounds and tasks. The show will also go into the candidates' individual journeys. The show aims to celebrate hip-hop, which has recently spread around the globe as a cultural phenomenon.
