Resort OTT release date: When to watch JioHotstar's new Tamil original series

JioHotstar has announced the release date of its new Tamil original series, Resort. The series will be released on March 13, 2026, the platform has confirmed. YouTuber Vijay Kumar Rajendran will lead the upcoming series, which will also be available on OTTplay Premium.

When to watch new Tamil series Resort

JioHotstar had announced a slew of exciting titles as it unveiled its Tamil slate during the South Unbound event in December 2025. The series Resort was also announced, though a release window was not provided. Now, the platform has confirmed that Resort will drop next month on March 13. All JioHotstar series are also available for OTTplay Premium subscribers.

What is Resort series about

As the title clearly states, the series is set in a high-end resort. Along with the OTT release date announcement, the platform had also dropped a fun teaser from the series. The glimpse features the staff at the resort busy with their hospitality and kitchen duties. But the makers opted for a dance-like sequence hinting that a fun and peppy series is in the offering.

YouTuber Vijay Kumar Rajendran and Thalaivasal Vijay play the lead roles in the upcoming series, along with Abeneya Nethrun, Dharshna Sripal Golecha, Ebi Rajhn, and Vishnu, among others.

Which are the other upcoming Tamil series

Another Tamil series, Thadayam, will make its digital debut this week on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium on February 27. Noted actor Samuthirakani leads the series, which delves into a series of murders and the subsequent police investigation.

There is also the Tamil series Made in Korea, which will drop on Netflix on March 12. Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan stars in the series as a small-town woman who dreams of going to Korea.

Another Hotstar special Roslin will also drop this week, but it is a Malayalam original series which will also be available in Tamil.
