Revathy's Salaam Venky starring Kajol gets a theatrical release date

The most anticipated movie of the year, Salaam Venky, starring the top stars in the business, Kajol and Revathy, is scheduled to hit theatres on December 9, 2022. A film produced by Suuraj Sinngh, Shraddha Agrawal, and Varsha Kukreja under Blive Productions and RTake Studios, is based on a remarkable true story of the perseverance of a mother in the face of adversity.

Salaam Venky, directed by Revathy, will star Kajol, Revathy, and an incredibly gifted ensemble cast to tell the story of a heroic mother who overcame the most trying conditions.

When discussing her first project with Kajol and why she chose this particular tale for her, Revathy had earlier said in a statement that she has a very strong emotional connection to Sujata's journey in Salaam Venky. It's not just relatable; it's also motivational. When Suuraj, Shraddha, and she were talking about this movie, Kajol was the first person that sprang to mind. One's belief that anything is possible will be reinforced by Sujata's radiant grin and her energetic yet soft gaze.

While Kajol stated that when she heard Salaam Venky's story, she could instantly relate to Sujata and thought her journey was very inspiring. It's a lovely journey, in her opinion, and it should be shared with everyone. Having Revathy direct her in this story also gives Kajol the courage to play Sujata and highlight her best qualities.

It's also being reported that Aamir Khan will make a special appearance in the forthcoming film.

Revathy has earlier directed films, namely Mitr, My Friend (2002), Phir Milenge (2004), a segment in Kerala Cafe (2009), and a segment in Mumbai Cutting (2010).
