That Vidya Balan is an actress par excellence is something that we all know. Not many know that she has an excellent sense of comic timing. Those who follower her on social media will surely vouch for this fact that, besides being an exceptional actress, Vidya Balan can ace any comical moment and make it magical. Vidya Balan’s take-off on the various characters, with which she entertains her fans on social media is something that needs to be seen in order to be believed.
Speaking of Vidya Balan’s take-off on characters, recently, she posted a video on social media, wherein she acted like two of the most iconic characters which the television land has ever seen. We are indeed talking about Hansa and Maaya. For the unversed, the character of Hansa was from the hit serial ‘Khichdi’, whereas the character of Maya is from yet another hit serial ‘Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’. While the iconic character of Hansa was portrayed by Supriya Pathak, the character of Maya was played by Supriya Pathak Shah.
Vidya Balan, who took to her social media, went onto create an amalgamation of sorts by infusing the characters of Hansa and Maya in one single reel. The video has ‘Hansa’ (in a quintessential Gujarati accent) asking ‘Maya’, “Ae Maaya... Tere paas gajarey toh hongey!” To which, Maaya says, “Naiyy... Main baalon mein gajarey nahi daalti”. Hansa then asks Maya, “Haay haay.. Kabhi nai?”. To which, Maya says, “No”. Then, Hansa asks Maya, “Ae... Toh tujhe aise halka-halka nahi lagta sar mein?”. As a befitting reply, a visibly super-confident Maya answers, “Nahi... Mere sar mein dimaag hai. Usi ki wajan se kaam chala leti hoon main”.
On the professional front, only recently, it was reported in the media that, Vidya Balan was in talks with to play the leading lady in the south film ‘KH 234’ (tentative title), which has the inimitable Kamal Haasan as the leading man. The director of the film is Mani Ratnam.
