RG Kar Incident: Swastika Mukherjee warns her followers from THIS rally

Public protests, rallies, and candle marches have been going on in Kolkata by people from different walks of life. Not just political parties and oppositions, but the members of civil society, actors, actresses, theatre workers, musicians, sports enthusiasts, and others have hosted protest rallies. Meanwhile, Swastika Mukherjee urged her followers not to join a particular rally. 

An organization — Chatro Somaj — called for Nabanna Abhijan on August 27. However, Swastika claimed that political interests play in the backdrop of this call. Some netizens attacked her for the post and she retaliated.

Swastika wrote ‘Please verify before joining the Nabanna Abhijan on August 27 that was called using students’ names. Don’t try scoring political brownie points.’ Netizens asked her ‘Whoever calls for it, the issue remains the same. What is your problem?’ Some people claimed that Swastika took the side of the ruler. Some of them discussed what stand she took on the Bangladesh incident.

Swastika replied to those complaints ‘I only asked to verify. Asking not to blindly believe everything does not mean not supporting the movement. And it is needless to remind me of what I said during the Bangladesh incident. I try to be vocal in my own way about incidents in my country and state. I will not be a yes-man, neither of the ruler nor the opposition and even not of you.’ 

Swastika teased the netizens ‘You don’t have to find the reason to troll, just do it. I can see which girl gets how much respect in the fight for women’s honor. Can you honor selectively?’ Her fans supported the post.
