Touted to be one of the most eagerly awaited multi starrer projects of the recent times, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi has been the talk of the town ever even much before it had got announced.

Richa Chadha reveals an interesting fact about her dance!
Amongst the starcast also is the firebrand actress Richa Chadha. In a recent interview with India Today, the actress spoke about the various challenges which she had faced while shooting for a dance number in Heeramandi. Richa said that they were shooting for a dance sequence. She added that, even though she did not get any time to rehearse, she managed to give the perfect shot.
She elaborated by saying even though there were the last-minute changes with absolutely zero time for rehearsal, she did manage to deliver after as many as 99 takes to get that one perfect shot! She went on to add that she had also heard that as a director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, would not let someone go until he got the perfect shot.
And after the 99 takes which, she had done for the song (which she specified that, was higher than she had done in her life), did have the prolific filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali asking for a pack up and also a statement which stated that, he won't give her money for extra time!
Speaking of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Richa only had words of praise for him as she said that the advantages of working with Sanjay sir were too many because a person becomes a better and a more generous actor because he forces at that moment to think on their feet and give it the best shot. As the flipside of shooting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, she said that she did not have any fun on any other set!
As for Heeramandi, besides Richa Chadha, it stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Fardeen Khan in important roles. The show will be streaming on Netflix from May 1.
