Riingo is back with a new series shot on mobile phone for Klikk

After Seven on Playtform 8, filmmaker Rringo is back with another web series which is completely shot on a mobile phone. This too is a thriller and was shot in Varanasi. The name of the series is Varanasi Junction. The plot deals with the city’s religion, politics, and shady underbellies. It will be released on the platform Klikk in March. Shooting a film or a web series on mobile cameras is not new. Vishal Bhardwaj’s Fursat which is shot on iPhone is in news. 

The story starts with the missing case of a Youtube vlogger. A female journalist gets entangled in the case and faces grave danger. While searching for the missing person, she understands that there is a dark underworld in Varanasi, which targets her. She also sees that the holy city is mixed with unholy business. The story tells about her struggle amidst all these, and how she gets herself free from this nexus. The series is written, directed, and edited by Ringo. Amrita Mukherjee plays the protagonist. Jeet Sundar Chakraborty, Judhajit Sarkar, Korak Samanta, Abhijit Sengupta, Muhammad Karim, and Agnibho Bandyopadhyay play supporting roles.
