Deepesh Bhan’s unexpected demise sent shockwaves across the TV industry. The late actor was well known for his role in the sitcom Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. Bhan passed away on Saturday, at the age of 41 and reports have started to surface that the actor died of a brain haemorrhage. A prayer meet for the late actor was held in Mumbai recently, which was attended by his Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! co-stars Shubhangi Atre and Rohitash Gaud. Atre and Gaud were unable to contain their emotions during the prayer meet of their late co-actor.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the actors attended the prayer meet, held on Monday, which also saw Kiku Sharda in attendance. Atre reportedly wept on seeing the garlanded portrait of Bhan, while Gaud also got emotional.

Atre shared a picture of a garlanded photograph of Bhan, on her Instagram stories recently. The actress also mourned her co-star, sharing a photograph of them together from the sets of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! and captioned it “I wish you could stay more with all of us. You could spend more time and spread more happiness around you. Rest In Peace my Dost”.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! revolves around the story of the Mishras and the Tiwaris, two neighbouring families. On the show, Bhan starred as Malkhan Singh, while Atre and Gaud essay the roles of Angoori Manmohan Tiwari and Manmohan Tiwari respectively. The sitcom, which premiered in 2015, is available for streaming on ZEE5.

Charul Malik, who shared the screen with Bhan on the show, had taken to her social media to express her shock and grief of Bhan’s passing. Sharing a picture of the two of them, Malik had wrote “ RIP Yaara, it's hard to accept you are gone. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts . Never ever thought I will be posting this for My Yaara . You will be missed Deepesh”.

The show’s producer Binaifer Kohli had also opened up to The Indian Express about how hard it was to come to terms with Bhan’s passing.
