RIP Sidharth Shukla: Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan mourn their Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania co-star's death

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan mourned the death of their Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania co-star Sidharth Shukla. The actors took to their social media pages and shared throwback photos clicked during the promotion of the 2014 release. For the uninitiated, after impressing Karan Johar during his stint on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 6, Sidharth had bagged his Bollywood debut in this Shashank Khaitan's directorial debut. 

While paying his condolences, Varun took to his Instagram page and wrote, "Rip brother. You are loved by so many and you touched so many with ur kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones."

Whereas Alia posted a photo on her Instagram story and stated, "Sid. One of the warmest, kindest and most genuine people I've worked with... always smiling and always positive! My heartfelt condolences to his family loved ones and his fans who loved him so so deeply! Rest in peace!"

In Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Sidharth played the role of Angad Bedi, who was set in an arranged marriage with Kavya Pratap Singh (Alia Bhatt). The actor in his brief supporting role impressed everyone with his charm and charisma. 

Sidharth passed away at the age of 40 after suffering from a massive heart attack. The actor was brought dead at the Cooper Hospital at 9:25 am, on Thursday, as per reports in ANI.

Shukla became an instant favourite among the masses since his stint on Bigg Boss 13 where he emerged as the winner. Earlier, this year, the actor had made his OTT debut with Ekta Kapoor's Broken But Beautiful season three streaming on ALTBalaji. 

Sidharth had made a few appearances on the sets of Bigg Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3 in the past few weeks.
