Rishab Shetty’s Mishan Impossible cameo has a smart nod to RRR and KGF

Rishab Shetty’s in a Telugu film that’s releasing on April 1. Called Mishan Impossible, the film, directed by Swaroop RSJ, has Taapsee Pannu in the lead, in a story about three boys trying to nab Dawood Ibrahim. Rishab, who’s been busy with his own directorial Kantara, after which he has to start Bell Bottom 2, found time to shoot for Mishan Impossible because Swaroop is a friend.

Apparently, back when the Kannada anthology Katha Sangama had come out, Rishab was invited to be the guest at a tech firm’s event, where Swaroop was also in attendance as a former employee, who’d just had the release of his first film, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. Rishab, who had just done Bell Bottom prior to that, bonded with Swaroop over the detective genre in films.

The friendship continued and when Swaroop wrote a Bengaluru-based character in his film Mishan Impossible, he asked Rishab if he would do the honours, which, the latter gladly took up. Rishab says that he took up the role because of its content, and the fact that it would be shot in Bengaluru. But, most importantly, it was because of his friendship with Swaroop.

Mishan Impossible revolves around three boys, Raghupati, Raghava, Rajaram (RRR), who set out to nab dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to get the reward money. Along the way, they meet Rishab’s Khaleel, whose aides are Gilaani and Farooq, making his trio KGF.

Produced by Matinee Entertainment, Mishan Impossible has Taapsee Pannu, Ravindra Vijay, Hareesh Peradi, Suhas, Sharanya Pradeep and Bindu Chandramouli on its cast. The film as cinematography by Deepak Yeragara and music by Mark K Robin.
