Rishi’s dark comedy ‘Nodi Swamy Ivanu Irode’ Heege heads straight to OTT

Actor Rishi has been busy with a slew of projects and one among them is the comedy-drama Nodu Swamy Ivanu Irode Heege. Directed by ad-filmmaker Islahuddin NS, the film follows Rishi’s central character who, heartbroken because of a breakup, spirals down to encounter depression, suicidal tendencies, and the works. Despite the grim subject matter of the film, the treatment is that of dark comedy that also boasts of many light-hearted moments. 

The film's first teaser was released earlier this year on February 5 which shows a rather desolate Sai Kumar (Rishi) who, in an attempt to commit suicide, goes to bizarre and often comical lengths.

And now, in the latest development, the makers have announced that Nodi Swamy Ivanu Irode Heege will be a direct-to-OTT release. The decision to bypass the theatre route comes with an attempt to reach a wider audience and in his latest social media post, Rishi emphasizes the same. The film will be premiering on Zee5 and one can expect the makers to soon reveal the exact date of the OTT release.

Wish everyone the best,” wrote Rishi who celebrates his birthday today. The latest poster of Nodi Swamy Ivanu Irode Heege comes with a special birthday wish for the actor. 

Rishi, who plays the role of Sai Kumar, will be reuniting with his Sarvajanikarige Suvarnavakasha costar Dhanya Balakrishna for the upcoming film. Nodi Swamy Ivanu Irode Heege also features Nagabhushana, Greeshma Sridhar, Apoorva Bharadwaj, and Bhavani Prakash with Amrej Suryavanshi producing the film. The film will be dubbed and released simultaneously in Telugu as Vaddura Sodara.
