After the success of Fatafati, Ritabhari Chakraborty travelled abroad to shoot Mainak Bhaumik’s thriller. Now the Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti-actress is set to work on a web series by a debutant director, Mir Falak. The show will stream on Surinder Films’ platform, Addatimes. In the series, Alivia Sarkar and Kinjal Nanda will also be seen.

Falak has chosen Sayantani Putatunda’s novel, Nandini, in which Ritabhari will play the lead role. Along with her, Shweta Bhattacharya will also work in the series. According to reports, she has stated that the stories of four women will be presented parallelly in the show. She is one of them. She will be seen as a journalist in the series.

The shooting of her serial Sohag Jol has just ended. According to her interview with Aajkal Dot In, Shweta did not take a break even after that and had no complaints about it. She claims that she wants to keep working continuously. She has been facing journalists for a long time. Now she is an actress in the same role. Has she prepared herself for this? According to Shweta, “I am immersed in acting with all my heart. I am trying to understand my character. In the series, my character’s name is Aalo. I am trying to bring it to life from within.” 

Meanwhile, Along with Ritabhari, Mainak’s next film, Grihostho, will feature Sourav Das, Shaheb Bhattacherjee, Koneenica Banerjee, Anusha Viswanathan, and Aryann Bhowmik in pivotal roles. Produced by Eskay Movies, the shooting took place in the UK in June. The film is said to be a thriller.
