Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s last release Ved has become a massive hit in theatres. The Marathi movie is breaking all records at the Box Office. It has earned as much as 300% profit and counting.

Ved, which released in December 2022, is still successfully running in theatres. It has managed to break many records that even Bollywood could not in the current scenario.

Made on a budget of Rs. 15 crores, the Riteish Deshmukh directorial film has already collected Rs. 60.67 crores at the Box Office, according to a report on KoiMoi. This Marathi movie, thus, has earned a profit of Rs. 45.67 crores. This amounts to the profit being as much as 304.46%.

Ved is currently competing with the all-time hit Marathi film, Sairat. It is the second highest grossing Marathi movie.

Riteish’s Ved is the Marathi adaptation of the Telugu film, Majili. The original movie starred Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead roles.

Apart from Riteish and Genelia, the movie also stars Jiya Shankar and Ashok Saraf in pivotal roles. Jiya plays the role of Riteish’s former lover in the film. Salman Khan makes a special appearance in the song Ved Lavlay. The track plays in the climax of the movie.

Ved received massive love upon its release. While the critics were in awe of the film, the audiences also started accepting it wholly as the movie continued its theatrical run.

The film released in theatres on December 30, 2022. It was expected to release on Amazon Prime Video in February but considering the immense love it continues to receive, the film’s OTT release date is likely to be postponed.
