Riteish Deshmukh-Tamannaah Bhatia team up for Netflix romcom Plan A Plan B

After two OTT outings, Tamannaah Bhatia will next be seen in a Netflix film titled Plan A Plan B. The film features Riteish Deshmukh as the male lead who is making his web debut. Plan A Plan B also stars Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila in pivotal roles. Netflix dropped a few new stills of the actors from the film which give a hint that Riteish is playing the role of a divorce lawyer.

The Instagram page of Netflix captioned the post as "Plan A: Tell you about this exciting film. Plan B: Jump around excitedly. Plan A Plan B is coming soon to Netflix. @riteishd @tamannaahspeaks @poonam_dhillon_ @kushakapila @ghoshshashanka @trilok.malhotra @krharish69 @rajat__aroraa @india_stories @funkyourblues."

The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh of Veere Di Wedding fame. In a statement to Variety, he talked about Plan A Plan B stating, "It is a one-of-a-kind story with unusual characters pitted against each other and a refreshing take on what love entails, tapping into many different emotions."

Riteish shared that the film has a terrific storyline and a journey of an unexpected love story. Whereas Tamannaah said, "Everything from the story to my character won me over right from the start."

Bhatia plays the role of a matchmaker in the film but she is not searching for love for herself. 

Plan A Plan B which is touted to be a coming-of-age rom-com adds to Netflix's slate of 40+ Indian titles announced earlier this year. 

Riteish and Tamannaah were earlier a part of Sajid Khan's Humshakals which was released in 2014. 

Currently, Shashanka is working on his next directorial titled Freddy and starring Kartik Aaryan in the titular role.

Meanwhile, the release date of Plan A Plan B is yet to be announced by the makers.
