Actress Ritu Varma-starrer Swag will see the actress essaying the role of Rukmini Devi. On the Ritu Varma’s birthday on Sunday (March 10), the makers of Swag unveiled a special video of the actress who is addressed as Rukmini Devi.  

The Nitham Oru Vaanam fame actress in the promo video is introduced to the audience as Queen Rukmini Devi from Vinjamara Vamsham. The makers dropped the new video on their social media pages with the caption, “Here comes our #QueenGariSwag, Maharani garu's answer to male arrogance!! (sic)”.  

The stylish video showcases the actress giving a strong counter against men. The video also features a voice-over of actor Sree Vishnu, who plays a pivotal role in the film. In the introduction video, Ritu Varma is seen mocking Sree Vishnu’s comments. She goes on to say that women are greater and powerful than men. However, Sree Vishnu who extends birthday wishes through a Whatsapp voice note clarifies that Swag is the story of men and Swaganiki Vamsham. The new video has generated a lot of buzz among netizens, who are eager to witness what the film is all about. Although the makers have been tight-lipped about the film’s plot, the movie promises to be a fun drama filled with a lot of surprises.

Written and directed by Hasith Goli, the Telugu film is set to be an entertainer. The movie, which is touted to showcase a unique concept by the director, has music scored by Vivek Sagar. Cinematography of the film will be handled by Vedaraman Sankaran, while editing by Viplav Nyshadam and production design by GM Sekhar.  

Bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, the film is co-produced by Vivek Kuchibhotla.
