Shamshera features Ranbir Kapoor in the role of a larger-than-life hero. When the trailer for the eagerly anticipated visual extravaganza debuted, the actor, who is returning to the big screen four years after he delivered the smash hit Sanju, astounded everyone with his amazing passion. Ranbir will be portraying both the father, Shamshera, and the son, Balli, in this revenge drama, as the trailer made an intensely held secret public. The actor is thrilled to be a part of genuine Hindi cinema, something we have all learned to love, and this is the first time he plays two characters in the same movie.
RK acknowledges that he was born "filmy" in the first of a three-part candid video series dubbed "RK Tapes" where he will discuss Hindi cinema and everything he likes about it. The star claims that his doctor immediately after his birth "declared his blood group as U/A"! We are all aware that U/A stands for movie censor certification.
See Ranbir's heartfelt remarks in the first episode of "Love For Hindi Cinema" here.
In the video, Ranbir is heard saying that the atmosphere of a cinema hall has its magic; a huge screen, surround sound, the smell of popcorn and samosas; and each time you set out on a journey to a foreign land, especially when engrossed in a full-blown Hindi potboiler, 300 more people are laughing and crying in addition.
The actor added that he has a bug in him, a bug more lethal than a virus. The reborn insect, the retribution bug, the love-confession bug in the rain, and an arctic chiffon saree. The "Dishoom" sound effect when the hero punches the villain, "whistling" upon the hero's entrance, and the bug of loud clapping throughout his dialogue delivery.
Ranbir's parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, uncles, and aunts were all actors, and even his cousins are. So his genetic makeup is "filmy." The actor quipped that his blood type, according to the doctor, is U/A.
Ranbir's movie Shamshera is set in the made-up city of Kaza, where a brutal authoritarian commander named Shudh Singh imprisons, enslaves, and tortures a warrior tribe. This is the tale of a guy who was sold into slavery, who later rose to leadership positions and became a legend among his community. He never stops fighting for the independence and honour of his tribe.
The action-packed, heart-pounding show takes place in the 1800s in the centre of India. The actor who plays Shamshera in the movie, Ranbir Kapoor, has a lot of promise. In this remarkable casting choice, Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir's arch-enemy. Their confrontation will be one to watch out for as they will viciously pursue one another without mercy.
On July 22, 2022, Aditya Chopra will release this action-packed spectacle in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
