Robinhood is Nithiin's new film that was in the making for almost two years and was postponed twice before its release on March 28, 2025. The response to the film was quite disappointing, though it had good comedy and the likes of David Warner in key roles. But sadly, things did not turn out the way the team wanted them to be, and now the wait is on for the OTT release of the film.

We at OTTplay have already revealed that Zee5 has bagged both the satellite and digital rights to the film for a fancy price. Now, the news is that Robinhood will stream on Zee5 on May 10, 2025. The TV premiere will also happen on the same date.
With this film, Nithiin, scored yet another flop in his career. Nithiin is known to star in films that are romantic dramas like Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, and the moment he changed gears to doing action and comedy films, things have not worked out for him.
Venky Kudumula, who made his debut with Chalo, directed the film, which was produced by the makers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers, and they spent a bomb on the film. Some big names like Sreeleela of By Two Love fame played key roles in this film, but all this did not help the film one bit.
Nithiin scores back to back flops
This is the second time that Nithiin has teamed up with director Venky Kudumula after Bheeshma, which was a box office hit. There is decent comedy in the film, but as the project became stale, the concept and presentation did not work out at the box office.
GV Prakash composed the music for this film, which was a super hit with the audience. Sreeleela's chemistry with Nithiin was also a hot topic in this film. The presence of some seasoned comedians like Vennela Kishore also did not bring much respite.
Nithiin is going through a lull in his career with back-to-back flops, and he needs to make a comeback at any cost. He will next be seen in Venu Yeldandi's Yellamma. The film is a social drama, and Nithiin is super excited about the project produced by Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Dil Raju.
