Robinhood’s high stakes: Shocking box office target locked for the Nithiin starrer

Robinhood, starring popular actor Nithiin, has been in the making for a long time, keeping fans eagerly waiting. The film, a romantic comedy caper, faced multiple delays, having been postponed twice, which only added to the frustration of its loyal audience.

However, all obstacles have now been cleared, and the film, directed by Venky Kudumula, is finally set for release. The movie features the talented and in-demand Sreeleela as the female lead, while veteran actor Rajendra Prasad plays a crucial role. Given the star power associated with the film, its pre-release business has been exceptionally strong.

Robinhood has been made on a budget of ₹60 crore and has been sold to distributors for approximately ₹70 crore. For the film to break even, it needs to collect at least ₹60 crore at the box office, which is a challenging task considering Nithiin’s recent setbacks. His last few films failed to perform well and did not even make Rs 30 crore, putting him under immense pressure.

To achieve success, Robinhood must open to highly positive word-of-mouth and collect at least ₹60 crore, as anything less could spell trouble for its box-office prospects. Director Venky Kudumula has previously delivered two blockbuster hits. However, after dedicating three years to a project with Chiranjeevi that never materialized, Robinhood has become a crucial film for his career as well.

Meanwhile, Sreeleela is one of the film’s biggest attractions, dazzling audiences with her screen presence. Another highlight is Ketika Sharma’s special song, Adhi Dha Surprise, which has already become a chartbuster. The special aspect of the film is that Aussie cricketer David Warner will be seen in a cameo in the film. 

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the banner behind Pushpa, Robinhood is backed by a strong production team. Producer Ravi Shankar has expressed great confidence in the film, predicting it will be a massive success and bring substantial profits to the makers.
