Robinhood is popular hero Nithiin's latest film, set to hit the screens on March 28, 2025. The film has been in the making for over two years and has faced multiple delays, being postponed twice. Due to these setbacks, the hype surrounding Robinhood had significantly diminished, and audience interest had waned.
However, things took a dramatic turn when it was revealed that none other than star cricketer David Warner would be making a cameo appearance in the film. This unexpected news has brought fresh excitement to the project. The revelation was made by the film’s producer, Naveen, during an event in Hyderabad, leaving fans thrilled.
David Warner is known for his love of Indian cinema and frequently posts fun reels on social media, mimicking famous Telugu movie dialogues and mannerisms. His recreation of Allu Arjun’s iconic "Jhukega Nahi Sala" pose from Pushpa during a match-winning celebration made him a fan favorite in Telugu states. Additionally, Warner has a massive following in the region, having played for Sunrisers Hyderabad for several years.
Taking all this into account, the filmmakers decided to bring Warner on board for a special cameo. Producer Naveen revealed that it was director Venky Kudumula’s idea to include the Australian cricketer, and when they approached Warner, he was more than happy to be a part of the project. According to reports, Warner’s entry will happen in the second half of the film, adding a unique surprise element for the audience.
Thanks to Warner’s cameo, Robinhood is back in the limelight, and anticipation for the film has grown. The songs, composed by GV Prakash, have already become chartbusters, further boosting the film’s prospects.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the team behind Pushpa, Robinhood stars Sreeleela as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Nithiin. With Nithiin struggling with back-to-back flops, he has pinned all his hopes on this film. It remains to be seen whether Warner’s presence will bring him good luck.
