A series that’ll inspire to reach for the stars, Rocket Boys, is gearing up for its release this week. The series will give viewers a glimpse into the minds of two of the greatest scientific minds of the century.

What is Rocket Boys about?

Rocket Boys will tell the story of prolific Indian physicists, Homi J Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.

Bhabha earned the title of Father of the Indian nuclear programme for his contributions to the field of nuclear physics and groundbreaking research in atomic energy. He is the founder of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Sarabhai is known for his pioneering work in space research and nuclear power in the country. Also known as the Father of the Indian Space Program, he was the founder of Indian Space Research Organisation.

Both scientists were Padma Bhushan awardees.

Who are the cast and crew behind Rocket Boys?

Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh star as Bhabha and Sarabhai respectively. The series also features Regina Cassandra, Saba Azad, Rajit Kapur and Arjun Radhakrishnan, in pivotal roles.

The series was created by Nikkhil Advani, under the banners of Roy Kapur Films and Emmay Entertainment. Advani is popular as the creator of shows such as Mumbai Diaries 26/11 and The Empire, which can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and Disney+Hotstar respectively.

The upcoming web series is produced by Advani along with Siddharth Roy Kapur, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. Abhay Pannu has directed the series.

When and where to watch Rocket Boys?

Rocket Boys will be available to stream on SonyLIV from February. The series consists of eight episodes.
