R. Madhavan has readied a film that promises to be of great quality. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, based on Nambi Narayanan, is a bilingual that will be released in Tamil, Hindi and English. Speaking about the film, the actor has now called Nambi Narayanan, the father of James Bond.
Madhavan recently talked about Nambi Narayanan as reported by Bollywood Hangama, saying that the achievements of James Bond, the iconic spy from the movies, is nothing compared to that of Nambi Narayan. “He said, ‘You, I, the court know I am innocent, but go to Google and put my name,' and sure enough when you put his name it says ISRO spy case. I understood the angst that he had, but what shocked me more, was the fact that he was given the Padma Bhushan, and nobody knows why,” said Madhavan.
He added that when his achievements came to life, we came to know about a lot of his exploits and experiences. The actor then went on to list a few of his achievements. He also talked about a time when the scientist went to Russia when the USSR was falling apart to smuggle engines that were supposed to come to India, but did not because of sanctions. Then, the actor said Nambi is ‘James Bond’s father’.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is set to hit theatres around the country in Hindi, Tamil, and English and dubbed in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and received a standing ovation.
Apart from directing and starring in it, Madhavan is also producing the movie. It also stars Simran, Rajit Kapur, Ravi Raghavendra, Misha Ghoshal and Dinesh Prabhakar with a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya. The movie will hit theatres on July 1.
