Rocketry: The Nambi Effect: Madhavan unveils new poster, promises update on the film ‘soon’

Madhavan fans have been waiting for quite some time for the popular star’s maiden directorial venture, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. And in a dream come true for fans, the actor has finally unveiled an intriguing poster for his upcoming drama and promised more updates to come.

Madhavan took to his official Twitter handle to unveil the new poster, which gives viewers a glimpse of him in character, as the famous scientist. The poster shows a fingerprint against the face of the scientist with a silhouette effect. The scientist is seen with an intense look, and viewers can also make out his signature white beard and thick-framed glasses. In the caption, the actor can barely contain his excitement as he says that fans can expect more news regarding the film ‘soon’.

The upcoming film will be a biographical drama based on the life of the titular Indian scientist, Nambi Narayanan. A former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) engineer, Narayanan was arrested on charges of espionage in 1994, along with one of his colleagues. Further investigations had proved that the charges against him were false, and he had been cleared of the same. He is also a recipient of the Padma Bhushan award.

The upcoming film features Madhavan, essay the role of the titular protagonist, with Simran playing the role of Meena Narayanan. The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and English, and will also be released in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. In addition to directing and starring, Madhavan has also written the film’s script and serves as one of its producers.

The film will also feature special appearances by Shah Rukh and Suriya Sivakumar. While the former will appear in its Hindi, Kannada and English versions, the latter will appear in the Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu versions.
