If you were to pull out a list of top-billed Indian actors working today, there's no doubt that Rocking Star Yash's name would be in the top 5. Ever since the actor delivered phenomenal success in the form of KGF 2, it's been a flurry of offers for him and that too from the some of biggest entities functioning in the film fraternity.

And with this clout and reputation to his name, Yash is very defiantly looking to leave a permanent impression on the Indian film audience as an entertainer. In this pursuit, he has been away from the limelight for quite some time owing to an enterprising project that he has been putting together stealthily. This film, referred to popularly as Yash 19, is arguably the most-awaited announcement on the cards.

However, the journey to this point has not been an easy one for the 37-year-old who, in a classic 'underdog' manner, has risen to the top by the means of his own will and choices. And it was exactly 15 years ago, turns out, that Yash's first prominent role on the big screen came about and fans and well-wishers of the actor are joyfully celebrating this grand landmark.

Yash, as known to many of his supporters, began his acting career on the stage before he began to find opportunities in TV serials such as Uttarayana and Nanda Gokula. It was on the sets of the latter that he first met actor and his future wife Radhika Pandit. He would continue acting in serials until he got his movie break in 2007 with Jambada Hudugi and the following year, he would be cast in director Shashank's Moggina Manasu in an important role. Moggina Manasu, which stars Radhika Pandit as the main lead (along with Shuba Punja), released in theatres on 18 July, 2008, exactly 15 years ago.

To know more about how Yash fell into filmmaker Shashank's radar, read the story below:

Yash is a pan-India star today due to his commitment to his craft, says Moggina Manasu maker Shashank

Though Yash did not play the lead in the film, his performance as the confident and stylish Rahul was widely appreciated and soon enough, he would become a sought-after actor in the industry. There's been no turning back since then considering Yash moved from strength to strength to establish himself as the complete package - a talented actor who was bankable and had all the chops of a 'superstar'. And keeping this mojo on throughout, Yash landed the mighty KGF project and the rest, as they say, is history.
